Carson holds a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology/global health & environment from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a concentration in clinical mental health. She is a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW).

Carson is passionate about using a strengths-based approach and meeting clients where they are in the present moment. She especially appreciates working with fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Carson utilizes a blend of modalities, including aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to encourage self-compassion and self-regulation. Carson also cherishes the opportunity to work with adolescents, couples, and families. Her central values are compassion, balance, community, and peace.
