About Shannon Adamczyk
MS, LPC, SAC
Shannon is dually licensed for both mental health and substance use and has been a member of the Connections counseling family since 2014. Shannon works primarily with young adults, college students, and teens and is involved in individual work, group counseling, as well as UW-Madison BASICS, CASICS, and CHOICES programs. She has experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, self worth, mood disorders, substance use, grief/loss, trauma, school/work struggles, and relational conflict. Shannon focuses primarily on a holistic approach to therapy and incorporates solution focused, existential, cognitive-behavioral and person centered theories into her work. Shannon believes in the healing power of honesty and human connection and focuses on helping clients discover their strengths and resilience as a way to illicit change, growth, and hope.
